August 2025 – After seeing a significant increase in local Meshcore adoption, I have returned to the network and am once again actively involved in the project. As part of this renewed interest, I purchased a ThinkNode M1 portable node and recommissioned my home Meshcore repeater. The repeater is now back online, contributing additional local coverage and helping to support the growing Meshcore community in the East of England.

Meshcore hardware
For a portable node, I used the ThinkNode M1. My node is called M1NER
The repeater at home is called M1NER PE7 (PE7 is the first half of my homes post code). This repeater uses a Heltek V3 LoRa board with a small, external antenna. The repeater covers the eastern side of my town.
Both devices are running on the latest official meshore.io firmware 1.17.1 released 14th August 2026. I use the meshcore.io online flasher
